His impressive resume includes race victories in championships throughout the world including the American Le Mans Series, the European Le Mans Series, the Rolex Sports Car Series, SCCA World Challenge, Continental Challenge, VLN and the World 24hr Series. Shane has won the 24 hours of Nürburgring in Germany, known as the most demanding 24 hour sports car race in the world.
Then in 2013, he backed up his 24 hour legacy by claiming victories in both the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona and the Dunlop 24H Dubai. Always a fan favorite, Shane has competed in an impressive 40 twenty-four hour races including three 24 Hours of Le Mans, seventeen 24 Hours of Daytona, four 24 Hours of Nürburgring and two 24 Hours of Dubai. He has raced in eight 12 Hours of Sebring, seven Petit Le Mans, won two 6 hours of Nürburgring and has won the 12 hours of Magny-Cours in France. Shane has successfully raced every major class of sports cars, in every major international series. His skills are often in demand for everything from a NASCAR Sprint Cup stock car to open wheel cars, and even the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. When not competing, he is one of the most sought-after set up and driving coaches in the business. Shane’s skills have been utilized to perform precision driving in television, video and movie productions. Shane teaches performance driving to Palm Beach Driving Club Members as the official Resident Club Pro at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida. He works with private clients and aspiring race car drivers of all ages on how to get the most out of their high performance road cars and race cars. He is a past recipient of the Professional Sports Car Racing’s Rising Star Award and is a proud inductee into the Road Racing Drivers Club. In March of 2014, Shane was awarded the 2014 Dick Moroso Memorial Award at the Palm Beach Country Sports Commission’s 38th Annual Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame awards ceremony. Shane raced the No. 66 Dinan BMW/Riley Daytona Prototype for RG Racing at the 53rd Rolex 24 at Daytona, in January 2015. In the 2015 and 2016 seasons of the Trans Am Series, Shane is driving Robinson Racing’s No. 72 Chevrolet Camaro sponsored by Pura Vida Tequila and 74 Ranch Resort in the TA2 Class, with 12 races at legendary race tracks across America including Sebring International Raceway, Circuit of the Americas, and Daytona International Speedway. Shane also competed in his first Mint 400 in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 14, 2015, alongside co-driver Gar Robinson of Robinson Racing.
